I am pleased to recommend Mads Jorgensen for an internship. He is enrolled in the Covering Traumatic Events course I teach each semester for the University of Missouri Journalism School. And I have found him to be driven, prepared and professional. Importantly, he possesses two of the most crucial things for journalists: Curiosity and healthy skepticism. I’m impressed with his English skills. And his prior service in the military gives him an important perspective he can draw on as he reports and writes.
